Guides · Selling more than hours

What should a workbook or toolkit cost?

Price it against an hour of your time, not against other people’s PDFs. A workbook that does part of what a session does is worth part of a session. Between a quarter and a half of a $180 session is $45 to $90, and that’s a fair place to start.

Why not match the cheap ones

A $9 PDF from a stranger and a workbook from the person who’d otherwise charge for a session aren’t the same purchase. The client is buying your method, and they know what an hour of it costs.

Three examples

  • A workbook that replaces the first session’s homework: a quarter of a session, $45.
  • A toolkit with the templates you hand every client: a third, $60.
  • A course-length guide that walks somebody through the whole method: half, $90.

On WorkWith, a file can also be pay what you want, with a lowest price you set, for the people who can’t afford the full one.
