Your own domain
Two rows, pasted where you bought the domain.
Your page is already live at your workwith.page address, and it stays live whatever you do here. A domain you own adds a second door to the same page. The first one stays open.
Use a subdomain
Put something in front of your domain, like book.yourname.com or with.yourname.com. A bare domain (yourname.com with nothing in front) needs a kind of record many registrars don’t offer, and it would take down any website you already have there.
Where the records go
Sign in wherever you bought the domain and find its DNS records. Most of them call it DNS; some call it Advanced DNS or Custom records.
| GoDaddy | My Products → your domain → DNS → Add record |
| Namecheap | Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS → Add New Record |
| Cloudflare | your site → DNS → Records → Add record |
| Google Domains and Squarespace | your domain → DNS → Custom records |
| Hover | your domain → DNS → Add a record |
| IONOS | Domains & SSL → your domain → DNS → Add record |
What to paste
Your Me screen shows the exact rows, with a copy button on each value. Copy them instead of retyping. The Name column is only the part in front of your domain, not the whole address: book, not book.yourname.com. Some registrars fill in the rest for you.
If the form asks for anything we haven’t given you, leave it at its default. TTL can stay as it is.
Then wait
Once the records are in, tap Check again on Me. It’s usually working within an hour, though a few registrars take a day. Me says when it’s live, and the certificate is issued for you.
Still not working after a day? Look at the Name column first. The usual mistake is the whole address in there instead of the part in front. If that’s right, write to us.
