How do you turn a note into LinkedIn and X posts?

Take the one idea in the note and write it twice: a few short paragraphs for LinkedIn, and a sentence or two for X. End both with the link to the full note. Don’t paste the whole note into either. Give people enough to be curious and a reason to click.

  1. Step 1

    Find the one idea.

If the note has three points, pick the one people would argue with or quote.

  2. Step 2

    LinkedIn: open with it.

The first line is all most people see before “see more”. Put the idea there, then two or three short paragraphs.

  3. Step 3

X: say it in one go.

A sentence or two, under the limit, with the number or the claim in it.

  4. Step 4

    End both with the link.

The full note lives on your page. The posts are the way in.

  5. Step 5

Post it yourself, when you’re around.

Replies in the first hour are where the conversation happens, and you want to be there for them.

On WorkWith, a note on Link has Draft posts for LinkedIn and X where drafting is set up: you get a LinkedIn version and an X version to edit on the spot. Copy and open LinkedIn copies the text and opens LinkedIn’s share page with the note’s address, and Open X with this does the same for X. Nothing goes out until you press post there yourself.
