What should you send before a first session?
The time, the place or the video link, what to bring, and how to move it if something comes up. Send it at booking and again the day before. Four lines, no attachments. Your agreement was accepted at booking, so it doesn’t need sending again.
Four lines
- When: the day and time, in the client’s time.
- Where: the address with a note on parking, or the video link.
- What to bring: a document, a laptop, nothing at all.
- How to move it: the link, and the window.
What to leave out
A welcome pack of twelve pages, a questionnaire, your life story. A first session is where the client meets you. Let them.
A line of your own
If you add anything, make it one sentence about the session: “We’ll spend the first ten minutes on what you want from this.” It sets the start before you’ve met.
On WorkWith, the confirmation and the reminder the day before carry the time, the video link and the way to move it.
