For fractional executives
Three companies, a few days each, and every one of them thinks Tuesday is theirs. One monthly offer per company, days that refill each month, and an ending that’s clean when it comes.
What’s different for fractional executives
Time held each month
A monthly offering can hold a set number of sessions that refill at each renewal. Your client books them as the month needs, and a renewal that fails is an amber item on Today.
Ending at the end of a month
Either of you can stop a monthly offering, and it always stops at the end of the period that’s paid.
Questions fractional executives ask
How should a fractional executive price their time?
As a monthly fee for a fixed share of your time, usually a number of days a month. Start from what the full-time role costs the company per day, and charge more per day than that: they pay no salary, benefits or notice period.
How many companies can a fractional executive work with at once?
As many as your days allow, with one day a month left free. Three or four is a common limit, because each company needs you in its meetings as well as on its work.
What’s the difference between a fractional executive and a consultant?
A consultant advises on a problem and leaves; a fractional executive owns a function, part time, and stays. The second is sold monthly and the first by the project.
Does a fractional executive need a contract with each company?
Yes, each with its own scope, monthly fee, notice period and who owns the work. An offer with the agreement on it is accepted before the first month is paid.
What notice period should a fractional role have?
One full month, ending at the end of a paid period. It gives the company time to plan and you time to fill the days.
Can a company pay a fractional executive by card?
Yes, monthly through Stripe, and a company card works like any other. Ask the finance team before you send the link, because some prefer to pay suppliers another way.
Your page on the first day
This is the consulting setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.
- Clients can book from tomorrow onward.
- Moving or canceling is free up to 24 hours before.
- There are 15 minutes clear after every session.
- Before booking, your page asks: “What should I read before we talk?”
Your engagement letter opens with this: Advice is given in good faith on the information you share; decisions and outcomes stay yours.
What it doesn’t do for you
There’s no team access for a company’s staff, no shared workspace and no board reporting. The work happens in each company’s own tools; the page holds the arrangement and the money.
