For event musicians
Every booking is one date, one venue and a set list somebody has opinions about. Hold the date with a share when it’s booked, put the venue on it, and keep a call for the song requests.
What couples and planners ask
How much deposit does a wedding musician take?
Often a third to a half, because the date can’t be sold twice. Take it at booking and say when the rest is due.
Do event musicians charge for travel?
Usually past a set distance, and for parking or overnight stays on long trips. Put it in the agreement, not the invoice.
What should a musician’s performance agreement say?
The date, the hours of playing, breaks, what the venue provides (power, space, a meal), and what happens if either side cancels.
What gets in the way
A Saturday in June is booked eighteen months ahead and canceled in month twelve.
The planner books you, the couple pays you, and the venue’s load-in times arrive the day before.
Song requests come in fifteen messages over three months.
What’s different for event musicians
The date held when they book
Set what’s due at booking on the performance, and the rest waits on Today until the week of the event.
A call for the set list
Keep a free planning call on your page, so the song requests happen in one conversation instead of fifteen messages.
Your page on the first day
This is the design or creative setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.
- Clients can book from tomorrow onward.
- Moving or canceling is free up to 24 hours before.
- Before booking, your page asks: “What are we making, and by when?”
Your project agreement opens with this: Half of the project price is due up front and half on delivery. The scope is what we agreed in writing; new work is a new agreement.
What it doesn’t do for you
There’s no set list builder, no song request form and no band member scheduling. Book your players the way you do now.
