For

For proofreaders

Your regular clients send you small jobs every week, and every one of them needs an invoice. Let them keep a card on file, so each invoice is one tap, and let them send the document from their own page.

Small jobs, paid in a tap

An invoice paid in one tap

When a client keeps their card at booking, every invoice you send them after that is a single button with their card on it.

The document from their own page

Your client sends the file from their own page, and it lands on their row in your app.

What gets in the way

A twenty-minute job takes ten minutes to invoice and a week to be paid.

Regular clients mean a dozen small invoices a month, each a little reminder to chase.

Documents arrive by email at eleven at night with “tiny job, should be quick”.

This is the design or creative setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.

  • Clients can book from tomorrow onward.
  • Moving or canceling is free up to 24 hours before.
  • Before booking, your page asks: “What are we making, and by when?”

Your project agreement opens with this: Half of the project price is due up front and half on delivery. The scope is what we agreed in writing; new work is a new agreement.

Questions proofreaders ask

How should a proofreader charge?

By the word or the page for most documents, with a minimum fee so a short job is still worth doing. Charge more for a fast turnaround.

What’s the difference between proofreading and editing?

Proofreading catches errors in finished text; editing changes the writing itself. Say which you’re doing in the offering, so the price matches the work.

Should a proofreader take payment up front?

For new clients, yes. For regulars with a card on file, invoice after each job and let them pay in a tap.

What it doesn’t do for you

There’s no tracked-changes editor, no word counter and no style guide tool. Edit in the software your client sends.
