For pottery teachers
A class has as many places as you have wheels, and the clay and firing cost money before anyone arrives. Sell a term on set dates with the materials in the price, and a one-off taster for people who want to try.
Wheels, clay and the kiln
A term with a place at every class
Add the dates of a term and set the number of wheels, and each student pays once for a place at every class.
A taster beside the term
Keep a single taster session as its own row, with a line saying the term starts on the next set of dates.
Questions pottery teachers ask
Should clay and firing be included in a pottery class price?
Yes, for classes, so nobody brings their own and nobody argues about the kiln. Say in the class line what’s included.
How long is a pottery course?
Six to eight weeks is common, long enough to throw, trim, glaze and get the fired work back.
How many students should a pottery class have?
As many as you have wheels, often six to eight. Set the number once and the class stops selling when it’s full.
Your page on the first day
This is the something else setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.
- Clients can book from tomorrow onward.
- Moving or canceling is free up to 24 hours before.
- There are 15 minutes clear after every session.
Your working agreement opens with this: Reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before at no charge; inside 24 hours the session is charged in full.
What gets in the way
A no-show leaves a wheel empty and a bag of clay already cut.
Firing takes weeks, so a term is the only way the work comes back finished.
Tasters fill quickly and rarely turn into a term.
What it doesn’t do for you
There’s no kiln schedule, no studio membership and no materials shop. Each class and term is booked and paid on its own.
