For business coaches

Your clients run businesses, so yours should look like one. Monthly coaching that renews on their card, a workshop on set dates, and an agreement they accept before anybody pays.

What’s different for business coaches

Monthly coaching that renews by itself

A monthly offering is a subscription on your client’s card. Each renewal refills their sessions and arrives as a paid invoice, and a failed renewal is one item on Today with the email that fixes it.

A workshop on set dates

A group session can run as a cohort: you add the dates, and a client buys a seat at all of them together.

  • Clients can book from tomorrow onward.
  • Moving or canceling is free up to 24 hours before.
  • There are 30 minutes clear after every session.
  • Before booking, your page asks: “What do you want to work on?”

Your coaching agreement opens with this: Sessions are 50 minutes by video. Reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before at no charge; inside 24 hours the session is charged in full.

Questions business coaches ask

Should a business coach charge monthly or per session?

Monthly, once a client is past the first few sessions. A retainer is steady income for you and a known cost for them, and keeping one is easier than reselling a package every two months.

What should a business coaching retainer include?

A fixed number of sessions, what happens between them, and how fast you answer. Write down what you’ll keep up for a year, not what sounds generous in the first month.

How should a business coach handle a client who wants to pause?

Say in the agreement how a pause works before anybody asks. Stopping a monthly offering always takes effect at the end of the period that’s paid, so nobody loses sessions they paid for.

Do business coaches need a contract?

Yes, and a short one the client reads beats a long one they don’t. The agreement generator in our tools writes one from four questions.

When should a business coach start a group program?

When you notice you’re teaching the same thing in every engagement. A cohort sells it once to several people, priced per seat below your one-to-one rate and above it in total.

When should a business coach raise prices?

When you’re booked a month ahead, or at the start of a year. Give existing clients a date at least a month out, in writing, and change your page for everybody on that date.

What it doesn’t do for you

A client’s team can’t book you under one company account. Each person books as themselves, and there are no team seats and no company view.
