For retirement transition coaches
Your clients have a leaving date, and the months either side of it are the work. Sell sessions that run from six months before to six after, and let an employer pay for them as part of the send-off.
Around a leaving date
Sessions that span the date
Set a row to the number of sessions and the months they’re good for, so a package bought before the leaving date lasts well after it.
Paid for by the employer
The employer buys the package as a gift for the person retiring, who gets their own page and books every session.
Questions retirement transition coaches ask
When should someone start retirement coaching?
Six months to a year before the leaving date, so there’s time to try things before the calendar empties.
Is retirement coaching financial advice?
No. It’s about time, identity, purpose and relationships. Say so in your agreement, and send money questions to a financial adviser.
Can couples do retirement coaching together?
Yes, and many should, because two people retiring into one house is a change for both. Offer a joint session as its own row.
What gets in the way
People plan the finances for years and the days for none of it.
The first Monday without work arrives, and the sessions ended a month before.
An employer wants to pay for coaching as a retirement benefit, and the client should still be the one who books.
Your page on the first day
This is the coaching setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.
- Clients can book from tomorrow onward.
- Moving or canceling is free up to 24 hours before.
- There are 30 minutes clear after every session.
- Before booking, your page asks: “What do you want to work on?”
Your coaching agreement opens with this: Sessions are 50 minutes by video. Reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before at no charge; inside 24 hours the session is charged in full.
What it doesn’t do for you
There’s no pension calculator, no budgeting tool and no financial planning. The page books the sessions and takes the payment.
