For acupuncturists
A busy practice is full for weeks, and the person who needs you can’t wait that long. Keep a waiting list that fills a canceled hour on its own, a gap before the soonest booking, and a course of treatments paid once.
What patients ask before the first needle
How many acupuncture sessions does a patient need?
Often six to ten for an ongoing problem, weekly at first. Say so at the first visit, and offer the course as one block.
How long is a first acupuncture appointment?
Longer than the rest, often an hour and a half with the history. Give it its own length on your page so the follow-ups keep theirs.
Should acupuncturists charge for missed appointments?
Yes, inside the window your agreement sets. A waiting list makes it easier to forgive, because the hour often fills anyway.
What gets in the way
You’re booked out for three weeks, and new patients go to somebody who isn’t.
A cancellation at noon is an empty room at two, unless you spend lunch on the phone.
A course of treatments sold one at a time is a course people stop after two.
Your page on the first day
This is the therapy or practice setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.
- Clients can book from 2 days ahead onward.
- Moving or canceling is free up to 48 hours before.
- There are 10 minutes clear after every session.
Your practice agreement opens with this: Sessions are 50 minutes. Reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before at no charge; inside 48 hours the session is charged in full.
What’s different for acupuncturists
A waiting list that works without you
When there are no openings, your page offers a place in line. When somebody cancels, the first person waiting gets an email from you and the hour is held for them for an hour, then offered to the next.
A course in one payment
Your page starts with a block of treatments, paid once and booked one at a time from your patient’s own page.
What it doesn’t do for you
There are no treatment notes, no herbal dispensary and no insurance claims. The page books and takes payment for self-pay treatments.
We don’t sign a business associate agreement. If you work inside a clinic or a health plan that needs one, keep that work where it is now.
