For Pilates instructors

A reformer class has as many places as you have reformers. Set the number, sell privates beside it, and let a beginners’ course be bought in one go.

Counted by the reformer

Places by the number of machines

A group session holds the number you set, and it comes off your page once it’s full.

A beginners’ course in one payment

Add the dates of a course, and a client buys a place at every class together, so week three isn’t a decision.

What gets in the way

Your reformer class holds four people, and your booking tool thinks it holds one.

New clients should have a private before they join a class, and they keep booking the class first.

A course of eight classes paid week by week is a course somebody stops after three.

Questions Pilates instructors ask

Should a new Pilates client start with a private session?

Usually, yes. One private lets you see how they move and set them up on the equipment before they’re in a class of strangers.

How many people should a reformer class have?

As many as you have reformers, and few enough that you can watch everyone’s alignment. Set the number once and the page stops at it.

Should Pilates classes be sold as a course?

For beginners, yes: a set number of weeks, paid once, with the same group. It gives people a date to start on and a reason to keep coming.
