For speech therapists
Most of your private clients are children, so the parent books, pays and reads the terms. Keep weekly sessions in blocks, leave a day clear before the soonest booking, and keep the lower rate on the page.
The parent books, the child comes
Progress comes from weekly sessions, and school holidays break the week.
Parents ask what a block costs before they ask anything else, often at nine at night.
Waiting lists for public services are long, and families who come to you privately want to start this week.
Your page on the first day
This is the therapy or practice setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.
- Clients can book from 2 days ahead onward.
- Moving or canceling is free up to 48 hours before.
- There are 10 minutes clear after every session.
Your practice agreement opens with this: Sessions are 50 minutes. Reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before at no charge; inside 48 hours the session is charged in full.
Questions speech therapists ask
How often should a child see a speech therapist?
Usually weekly, with practice at home between. Fewer, longer sessions rarely do as much as short, regular ones.
Can speech therapy be done online?
For many children and most adults, yes. Offer video and in person as two offerings, so families choose.
Who books private speech therapy for a child?
The parent or guardian, who pays and accepts the agreement. The child’s name can go in the booking question.
What’s different for speech therapists
Weekly sessions as a block
Your page starts with a block of sessions, paid once, that the family books one at a time from their own page.
A gap before the soonest booking
Set how far ahead someone has to book on Me, so tomorrow morning stays clear for writing up today.
What it doesn’t do for you
There are no assessment reports, no therapy plans and no insurance billing. The page books and takes payment for self-pay sessions.
We don’t sign a business associate agreement. If you work inside a clinic or a health plan that needs one, keep that work where it is now.
