For yoga teachers
Private clients, small classes and a weekend workshop are three different things. Put all three on one page, in the studio, the park or on video, with the mats counted for you.
What’s different for yoga teachers
Classes with a number of mats
A group session holds the number of people you set. The first booking sets the time, the next ones join it, and a full class comes off your page.
A workshop sold as one seat
Add the dates of a series, and a student buys a place at all of them together, shown in their own time zone.
Your page on the first day
This is the therapy or practice setup, and it’s what your page starts with. Change any of it where it appears.
- Clients can book from 2 days ahead onward.
- Moving or canceling is free up to 48 hours before.
- There are 10 minutes clear after every session.
Your practice agreement opens with this: Sessions are 50 minutes. Reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before at no charge; inside 48 hours the session is charged in full.
Questions yoga teachers ask
How much should a yoga teacher charge for a private session?
More than a studio pays you for a class, because you’re bringing the student and the attention. Work out the hourly figure you need to take home, then add travel if you go to them.
How do I run a yoga workshop series?
Sell it as one seat across all the dates. Add the dates, set the number of places, and each student pays once for the series.
Should yoga classes be online or in person?
Both, as two offerings. Each one happens on video or at an address you give, so the Tuesday studio class and the Thursday online class sit side by side.
Can I teach my studio students privately?
Read your studio agreement first, because some forbid it. Where it’s allowed, hand out your link when a student asks, and keep teaching your studio classes as agreed.
What should a yoga teacher’s agreement say?
That students practice at their own risk and tell you about injuries, and what happens when they cancel late. The agreement your page starts with covers late cancellation; add the first part.
Should a yoga teacher sell private sessions in blocks?
Yes, for students who come every week. A block paid in advance is booked a session at a time from their own page, and the count goes down by itself.
What gets in the way
Your private clients, your small classes and your workshop weekend are three different things, and most booking tools handle one.
A class of eight with three no-shows is a class of five you planned for eight.
Studios keep a share of every class you teach there, and the students who follow you are the ones worth keeping.
What it doesn’t do for you
There’s no timetable for a studio with several teachers, no unlimited membership and no drop-in payment at the door.
